What changed

Vendors change their terms and we sometimes get one wrong. Both are recorded here, newest first, and labelled so you can tell them apart. Every entry is dated the day we observed it, names the value before and after, and links the vendor page that shows the new one.

Everything below dates from the first verification pass, when this site's data was being built and re-read row by row. That is why the list is all our own corrections and no vendor changes: it records a day of checking our own work, not a year of vendors moving the goalposts. From here on the list grows one observation at a time, and a vendor change will be labelled as theirs.

2026-08-29 Wyze Video Doorbell Pro — verdict reason was Vendor's own comparison chart lists storage as Cloud Only; event video requires a paid Cam Plus subscription to save or review., now In Wyze's compare chart at the foot of the product page the Video Doorbell Pro's Storage row reads "Cloud Only" while its three siblings read "Local & Cloud" — the microSD bullet higher up that page belongs to the newer Wyze Battery Video Doorbell it cross-sells, not to this model. Keeping event video then needs a paid plan: "Cam Plus enables the doorbell to record full-length event videos.". Our error, corrected. The verdict and the "Cloud Only" fact both held; the reason was too thin to check. It now names where that word appears — the compare chart at the foot of the product page — and disowns the microSD bullet higher up, which belongs to a different model Wyze cross-sells there and would otherwise read as a contradiction. The reason now rests on the one thing the page does show: every paid plan is a subscription, so the $69.99 buys twelve months of access rather than the software. The verdict stayed reject.
